Associate Creative Director (Interactive)
THE JOB: Our ideal ACD candidate will bring a minimum of 8 years of experience to our team. Ideally, we are looking for someone armed with both a strong art direction and digital design background; as we need a candidate who can use those core foundations to operate as a senior manager capable of leading and inspiring teams (interactive art directors, designers, copywriters, developers) as well as support the vision/direction of the Creative Director. The ACD is a key position in our team structure as it allows the Creative Director to focus on executive-level needs, while having the confidence that the work, the clients, and our teams are being managed at a level of creativity and quality that keeps us at the top of our game. Things that’ll separate you from the rest: · The ability to concept, develop, and manage truly innovative digital creative solutions. · Confident leadership skills to see projects through from concept to completion. · Strong mentoring instincts that deliver objective guidance and feedback. · The ability to inspire and motivate others in order to deliver unexpected and innovative creative work. · A collaborative work ethic to work alongside our Account Directors, Strategists, and development teams. · Natural management and presentation skills to lead projects, present work, and build client trust. MUST HAVES: · Strong management experience: freelancers, subcontrators, overall project development, internal and external staff/team performance, etc. · Focus on providing quality assurance of all creative deliverables. · Ability to delegate day-to-day responsibilities to art directors, designers, writers and developers. As well, the ability to multi-task and work effectively under pressure without losing a meticulous eye for details. · Experience collaborating with research, media, account and business development teams to create and develop new business opportunities · Respect for ensuring the timely delivery of work by way of resource and staff management. · Understanding the use of applying brand identity systems, typography, photography, color and other ingredients appropriately; to create innovative visual solutions that meet client’s, business, and user needs. · Strong background expertise in all Adobe CS programs within the Mac environment. (Yes, you will be getting your hands dirty as well.) · And last (but not least), a full-spectrum know-how behind web programming, online and offline production, asset development, motion design and the ins and outs of Flash, Ajax, Flex and other emerging platforms, UI/UX, and informational architecture best practices. THE FINE PRINT: Every candidate must submit a portfolio upon submission. Compensation will be based upon experience. Some travel may be required.
