This job is to be based on the Zend Gmail IMAP using OAuth libraries and samples found here : http://code.google.com/apis/gmail/oauth/code.html - Create a series of PHP scripts that uses the 3-legged authentication to download mail via IMAP Front End: - first script (front door, index.php) should ask for user's first name, last name and email address. Upon submit, save those to a member table and move on to the OAUTH process - get the OAUTH_TOKEN and any other variables from google that will give us IMAP permission to the inbox. Save those tokens in the member record in the MySQL database - the last screen should be a simple confirmation page that displays the tokens we've saved to the member table. Back End : - create a PHP script that we'll run with CRON every X minutes to poll for new mail - use the oauth_token(s) saved from the previous step to authenticate into the inbox - download all new mail since last run and save in a table. - get all mail, read or unread, in the gmail inbox - do not mark any messages as read - this should not change how the user's gmail inbox looks - stop processing once all new mail (since last run) has been downloaded and saved to the table. must work on php 5.3.6 and mysql 5.1 write on your server then send to me for testing once you know it is working.
