Data Entry Specialist (Temporary) Summary This position works within our onsite Wholegoods Publishing Team and is responsible for entering customer’s data, according to established frameworks, into our databases using in-house computer applications. Primary Responsibilities: Collect and enter data according to instructions into in-house software, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. (70%) Quality check others data entry work. (20%) Conduct website surveys to determine data availability. (5%) Research & resolve brochure data issues reported by clients or other departments as assigned. (5%) Additional Duties: The following additional duties are expected of all Data Entry Specialists: Maintain necessary reports to communicate to manager progress for model year data entry. Adhere to strict deadlines and quality requirements. Recommend process improvements. Other responsibilities as assigned. Experience, Education and Training: Minimum of a high school diploma with 1-3 years of data entry experience. Excellent attention-to-detail and good computer keyboard skills (60 WPM and up a plus). Familiarity with Windows and the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel). Strong experience using internet browsers such as Internet Explorer with comfort navigating and searching many different website layouts. Familiarity with downloading and handling PDFs, recognizing Flash content, or being able to crop and resize images is a plus. Communicate effectively, possess good organizational skills, and be able to work quietly without excess supervision. Engagement: Require 30-40 hours of availability per week. Requires attendance at our Virginia Beach office. Standard business hours, some flexibility available. Position expected to run for at least 2 months, potentially longer.
