Our client based on the east side of Cleveland has a need for a Database Administrator for a 6 month contract assignment. Duties include creating and using various databases, SAP and Access Software, to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data in master files and establishing and maintaining the security and integrity controls. The Database Administrator interacts directly with business analysts to integrate databases into global learning management solution both in SAP business system and new learning management system (Cornerstone). Essential Functions: Establishes database management systems, standards, guidelines and quality assurance for database deliverables Codes programs and derives logical processes on technical platforms Builds windows, screens and reports Assists in the design of user interface and business application Participates quality assurance and develops testing procedures Adapts business requirements and develops the data, database specifications, and table and element attributes for an application Determines how tables relate to each other and how fields interact within the tables for a relational model Creates macro coding Documents all procedures for Operation Manual Works on issues with limited scope Follows established practices and procedures in analyzing situations Education and Experience Requirements: Four-year college degree in related field, Computer Technology, Software, etc. Competency Requirements: Professional and Technical Experience: Consistently demonstrates proficiency in learning content, process, system design, and execution Communicates Effectively: Involves the right people to obtain needed information and perspectives Add Value for Customers and Partners: Understands the needs and requirements of customers, distributors, partners, and other business functions while productively sharing that understanding with others Attains Results: Excels at execution; monitors and reports progress and redirects efforts, resources, and rewards as needed to ensure goals are achieved Creates Focus and Motivates Others: Helps identify and maintain stakeholder and decision-maker support required to achieve business goals Leads Change: Consistently moves problems towards resolution when encountering obstacles, uncertain conditions, or situations where lack of data or conflicting data means that there is no clear -right- choice
