Business Analyst II
The Business Analyst II will work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Project Management, Technical Staff (designers, developers, etc) and the Test Team to document, interpret and trace requirements from initial articulation through elaboration, design, construction and test. Duties & Responsibilities: Work with product management to document the vision and scope of the project Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, and workflow analysis Decompose high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements specified in an appropriate level of detail suitable for use by those who must base their work on the requirements Lead requirements analysis and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, traceable, unambiguous, and verifiable, and that they conform to standards Work closely with the development team and the subject matter experts to resolve issues Identify common elements and work with the technical design to leverage commonality where appropriate Monitor and track change requests Work with the technical design team to develop a business design that is consistent with the technical architecture Work with the testing Lead to define the testing process, which includes quality assurance, regression, and acceptance test cycles Work to maintain consistency and knowledge sharing between the business analysis, technical design, and development team Contributes to project plans and estimating metrics by evaluating delivery efficiency Business Analyst Qualifications: Bachelor's degree is required Four years of experience as a business analyst on at least 3 different projects, or equivalent experience in other software development disciplines Experience on enterprise software projects using Agile, SCRUM preferred Excellent interpersonal skills, coaching and performance feedback, project planning and tracking, and knowledge of business requirements Experience with analysis and testing, and developing use case models and User Stories Works as part of a specific development team to create feature enhancements. This includes not only requirement definition, but also testing and regression expertise Experience eliciting requirements during real time collaborative sessions with stakeholders located in different geographic locations Provide documentation of project milestones including business requirements and key deliverables Experience in the use of the Microsoft TFS 2010, Visual Studio 2010, Microsoft Test Manger is preferred Experience defining and documenting business and functional requirements, business process maps flows, and diagrams Experience creating high fidelity Mockup preferred Experience working with telecommunications or public utility industry in software development is desired
