Java JDBC Connection with Derby Database
Simple : Java, JDBC connection with Derby Database. To retrieve the Information (already stored) in the derby database using JDBC Connection. Requirements - A java source code that connects and retrieve information from tables in the Derby Database using JDBC Connection. - The Java source code will retrieve the information from the derby database - The java source code will retrieve a String Object stored in a Column in a Table inside the database - The retrieval information of the URI object from Database uses five table - Table 1 will provide a Category ID. Retrieve the Catergory_ID from Table 1. - Use Table 1s retrieved Category ID and get REGISTRATION_ID from Table 2. - Use Table 2s REGISTRATION_ID to get Table 3s URI. The URI is a String Object - The URI object will be like http://localhost:8080/server/repository?name=EXT.MYEXTRACT2&version=1.0.0&type=com.ibm.nex.ois.runtime.productplatform.distributed&request=com.ibm.nex.model.oim.distributed.ExtractRequest type=com.ibm.nex.ois.runtime.productplatform.distributed" Retrieve the name value from the URI String object. The retrieve name in Table 3 will be EXT.MYEXTRACT2 Retrieve the version value from the URI String object. The retrieve name in Table 3 will be 1.0.0 For example Version 1.0.0 Name EXT.MYEXTRACT2 After retrieving the version as single object. Break the version number from 1.0.0 into each separate variable. Break the version digit at period so it will result into three distinct characters 1 0 0 . The split of the version will be on period . that will separate each three digit in the version. Table 4 Find the content_ID from Table 4 that have Name = "EXT.MYEXTRACT2" , Version Major = 1 Version Minor = 0 Version Path = 0 as retrieved from Table 4 Return the CONTENT_ID that is in the same row of the VERSION_MAJOR = 1 VERSION_MINOR = 0 , VERSION_PATCH = 0 and NAME EXT.MYEXTRACT2 For example the query will return CONTENT_ID 3441d37a-7aef-4936-b58d-fa24948d28da Table 5 Retrieve the BLOCK from which corresponds to the CONTENT_ID retrieved from Table 4. If there are multiple entry of the content_id in the Table 5 then retrieve all the BLOCK corresponding to the CONTENT_ID (retrieved from Table 4) In the case of multiple CONTENT_ID . Join all the block into a single string object. Follow the sequence in joining (starting from 0 , 1 , 2 , 3 ). (Please feel free to ask the questions if required more clarification) The query should return the BLOCK is above example org.apache.derby.client.am.Blob@394e394e Convert the Blob "org.apache.derby.client.am.Blob@394e394e" retrieved from Table 5 into String object. The String object will be an XML Document Extract the first name next to the pattern " More information will be provided on awarding the project.
