Senior .NET Application Developer Job Summary Our team is looking for a talented and experienced Senior .NET Application Developer to assist in design and development of new business applications as well as maintenance and enhancements to the existing solutions. Required Soft Skills: Candidate must possess minimum of 5-6 years of related technology experience, strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills and ability to able to manage and deliver multiple tasks within short timeframes. Candidate must be creative, self-sufficient and resourceful. Ability to quickly learn both the technology and business concepts, and experience working on cross functional teams is required. Technical Skills and Abilities: Hands on experience with the following ASP.NET 2.0-4.0, C#, JavaScript, AJAX, DHTML, XML/SOAP, ADO.NET and WebForms, Custom Controls, User Controls, Distributed System Development. Working knowledge using design patterns in .NET Familiar with data modeling, design and application development Proficiency in understanding of relational databases Knowledge in SQL programming / Store Procedures /Functions and optimization Knowledge and experience creating transactional Web Front-Ends utilizing data from MS SQL Server and Oracle Knowledge of IIS 6 and 7 server architecture, understanding of SSL is a plus Good conceptual knowledge of application security design methodology. Working knowledge of SOA architectures Strong understanding of relational databases and modeling techniques (ER, Dimensional) Experience in using version control system (VSS, PVCS) Solid understanding of testing methods - Detail unit testing and integration testing Proficiency with Photoshop and/or Graphics software is a big plus Working knowledge of life insurance business, terms, and processes a plus Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree preferred Job Responsibilities: The candidate will be part of a professional team and will be required to work closely with other developers, analysts and project managers as well as business clients on tasks including but not limited to the following: Design and Development of high performance transactional systems in .NET. Work with project team to design, develop and implement new web based applications Work with business analysts to develop technical design specifications Assist in the development and architecting data marts Assist in maintaining and enhancing existing website functionality and design Serve as a technical expert on .Net technology Follow software development life cycle methodology; including change management processes Ensure changes are properly tested and migrated to production Create technical documentation and administrative documents Create Visio process flows and domain object models.
