Senior Tax Advisor This is a stand alone role that reports directly to the Groups UK based Head of Tax and Treasury. The successful applicant will need to build relationships and work closely with the Australian commercial and finance teams ensuring that high level tax issues are identified. This role will encompass the preparation and review of the tax return for the year ending 31 December 2011 as well as high level tax planning. Some assistance with overseas work will also be required. Ideally you will be currently working in a Big 4, a large mid-tier or large corporate position or have had recent experience in a similar position (experience only with individual tax returns is not appropriate for this role) This position would ideally suit someone with demonstrated experience in tax compliance/planning roles for a consolidate group of companies. Primary Responsibilities: Provision of technical advice regarding income tax, FBT & GST Coordination, preparation and lodgement of consolidated income tax return Oversee compliance in respect of indirect taxes Assistance with tax effect accounting entries and reporting Liaise and work with both internal and external stakeholders, including dealing with tax enquiries Involvement in special projects, including international taxes Keep up to date with current and proposed changes to income tax legislation Identify key tax issues and planning opportunities for the group Position Requirements Must be CPA or CA qualified Minimum 5 years experience highly desired Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills High attention to detail and accuracy Self-motivated and proactive with a hands on approach Strong numerical and analytical skills Ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the organisation To apply for this position please click on 'apply now' In return we offer the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with competitive packages and the opportunity to develop your career in a growing company.
