E-commerce Website Redesign
-clearly this website needs to be redesigned. I am working on the copy and have professional photos taken. MUST HAVE EXISTING ECOMMERCE REFERENCES I like the feel and layout of with the functionality of Instead of the gray background, would like to see what a lime green background looks like - keep lime green and the gray of the logo the branding colors When someone comes to the website, have a box pop up to collect their email address to add to the newsletter, make it optional and easy to click off of it Keep items in someone's shopping cart so if they go away and come back, items are still there. Shopping cart - keep with Paypal for now, can I have a custom thank you page? Checkout - have option "scent by" - people can give referrals Once people have placed an order, where does that data go? Can I integrate the inbound newsletter leads with either Mail Chimp or Constant Contact? Have product recommendations on the page once someone puts an item in their cart? UPSELL Free shipping - needs to be able to trigger at a certain $ amount Website needs to be able to easily accept coupons or discounts (3 for $20) I do not think I want a banner on the site for now, but would like the option for the future. For the photographs that will be taken, I think the best way to organize the products page is: Have one image to represent the product category (not a photo for each scent) Drop down box of available scents Allow for description - short paragraph Allow for ingredients to be listed Allow for customer testimonials - reviews; like Amazon does.
