swimming text logo - After Effects

I created the attached logo in PSD. I'd like to have it in after effects, and give the logo the appearance of a fish swimming. I think that can be done be having the text in 3d, then varying the depth of each letter so it would look like it is swimming (unless you have another idea). If requested,I can send the PSD file.
