We are looking for a consultant for a 90 day period of time to ideally be based at our HQ here in S.F. with some travel required to N.Y. and London. This project is a pre-launch, front end development engagement and we are looking at someone with 8+ years of experience with a blend of development/IT based consulting leadership. We will consider either a contractor to be on our payroll direclty or a corp.to corp 1099 consultant. Big 5 Consulting engagement experience is a huge plus. Job description is below: Senior Project Technical Project Manager The Principal Technical Project Manager will develop and maintain strong internal team relationships to successfully carry out the following responsibilities: ? Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Managers, Developers, QA, and Operations to develop project plans and track them from initiation to completion ? Creating detailed project, work breakdown, and resource plans based on interactions with cross-functional internal teams. ? Continuously updating/revising plans to accommodate changes in project direction ? Managing scope and minimizing exposure and risk across multiple projects ? Resolving project, resource, design, or development issues before they cause schedule delays ? Directing assigned project resources to ensure adherence to project schedule and resolving project, design, or development issues before they cause delays ? Running regular status meetings with clients and internal teams; taking minutes, distributing to stakeholders, and following up on open action items ? Delivering regular and ad hoc reports to the internal teams and clients on the status of the project or projects Job Requirements: ? Minimum of 8 years experience leading technical projects, 4 of which must be in a software or website discipline; knowledge of the software development lifecycle (waterfall and agile) a must ? Demonstrated experience working on multiple projects simultaneously ? Demonstrated experience leading a diverse group of project/program stakeholders including direct experience working with clients (internal or external) on technical implementations ? Ability to read and understand functional requirements, recommend changes, and test against the final implementation ? Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint ? Must be disciplined, detail oriented, self-motivated, and extremely organized with the ability to work independently and learn quickly ? Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills; fluency in written and spoken English required ?
