Database Dev (Mid Level Experience) T-SQL Stored Procedures, Functions, Indexing Volt Technical Resources is seeking a Database Developer with strong reporting and tool development experience/skills who is able to show as much passion towards supporting existing tools and new development projects. Work with our Client's small Finance Team who supports several tools as well as OLAP and Data Warehousing BI. Job Responsibilities: The majority of the responsibilities/time for this position will be on developing and maintaining financial tools. Each of the projects/tools on this team are typically supported by a PM and one Developer. Responsible for the database (TSQL, Stored Procedures) and reporting components of the tools. Existing Tool Modification and Support. New Reporting Efforts: Partner with Program Manager to identify requirements, identify and evaluate alternatives, and implement solutions. Actively participates as a team member on the Project team. Architect, design and develop (based off of BRD) multi-dimensional schemas and SSRS reporting systems for internal partners. Active participation in technical investigations and prototyping. Makes recommendations to improve business workflow efficiency and information access as well as provide education on the benefits and limitations of technology solutions. Ensure data accuracy and reliability. Maintenance: A portion of the responsibilities will be toward maintaining existing production tools. Duties to include: Checking ETL logs early in the morning to ensure data has loaded and data marts have built as scheduled. Taking proactive steps to resolve any errors in the data or job streams. This is an estimated 12 month Contingent/Temporary position in Bellevue, WA with the possibility of an extension and offered through Volt Technical Resources, also located in Redmond, WA. Requirements: Database Developer Qualifications: Must have extensive experience with database design and tuning. T-SQL experience in writing procedures, functions and determine the correct index solutions. Sustain existing DB schemas, stored procedures, etc. as required to support business needs. Contribute to development methodologies and best practices. Cross group collaborative work with other Finance groups. Support Testing efforts (Integration Testing and UAT). Work with PM to provide End User Support during period when tool is being used. Author required technical and support documentation. Support production SQL processes.
