Cisco Network technician Provide migration assistance to assigned customers focusing on the technical aspects of Brocade IP technologies. Work closely and onsite with customers to advise/consult and deliver upon the technical needs of the customer’s specific configurations and challenges, to ensure resolution of issues as required and to assist with architecture, design, deployment and implementation of Brocade IP related equipment as well as defining/documenting support processes and relevant post implementation activities. Engagements and travel requirements can vary and depend on customer needs. Ideal candidates are highly regarded by their peers as Subject Matter Experts (SME), possess experience in customer facing, post sales technical roles and have proven, previous success in a professional services, consultative environment with technologies described herein. Requirements Qualifications: A professional services background in a customer facing, consultative role including 5-10 years experience planning and executing IP or competitive solution including: • Experience with assessment, design, and implementation of current generation Brocade IP products, especially Brocade MLX, MLXE, VDX, and XMR. • Experience with assessment, design, and implementation of current generation Cisco IP products such as Nexus 7000/5000, ASR series (9000/1000), XR series, 7600/7200 series, ISR series (3900/2900/1900/800) routers, Catalyst 6500/4500 series switches • Experience with implementation and customization of monitoring features in Brocade IP products, including SNMP v2/v3, RMON, sFlow, etc. • Experience with implementation and customization of Brocade network management products such as IronView Network Manager (INM) and/or Brocade Network Advisor (BNA). • Experience with implementation of Brocade and/or Cisco Layer 4-7 Application Delivery Controllers/Switches (Brocade ServerIron/ADC/ADX, Cisco ACE/CSS) • Experience performing detailed IP network assessments in predominantly Brocade or Cisco environments, resulting in detailed design and configuration recommendations. Ideal experience and / or certifications will include: • Brocade FastIron, BigIron, NetIron, ServerIron, IronView, TurboIron, ADX, VDX, INM, BNA, MLX, MLXE, XMR, RX, CES, CER, FCX, SX, WS. Cisco ASR, XR, ISR, ACE, CSS, Catalyst, 9000, 7600, 7200, 7000, 6500, 5000, 4500, 3900, 2900, 1000. SSH, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, VPLS, Virtual Routing (VRF), VRRP, HSRP, STP, LACP, POE. Certifications: • Brocade BCNE. Cisco CCENT, CCNA, CCDA. Nortel NCTS, NCTE, NCDS, NCDE, NCSS, NCSE. Juniper JNCIA, JNCIS. Brocade IP related certifications are preferred.
