Interim Category Manager - People Services
An Interim Category Manager is required work in a large inner London local authority. The candidate will provide support for the Councils category management review of People Services. The candidate will be required for a minimum of three months. The primary purpose of this role is; Working on contracts across the council to ensure co-ordination and prioritisation of the staff within the allocated sphere of control to ensure delivery of the Councils objectives, Commissioning, Strategic objectives and the savings plan as a whole. Provide advice and support for the Procurement SRM senior management team within the council and the allocated contracts and/or categories of expenditure under control. Act as an ambassador for the function: Category Managers need to understand seven step procurement process and OJEU. Strong category management expertise ideally People Services. MCIPS membership desired Ideally with a mix of public and private sector experience.
