A forward thinking public sector client based in Cornwall currently requires an Interim Accountant for a period of at least 4 months, with the potential for extension. This client is embarking on the search for a new strategic partner and is currently involved in competitive dialogue with potential bidders. The need has arisen for an Interim Accountant to create financial reports and co-ordinate financial data as part of the critical procurement process. The successful candidate will be required to work with project teams in order to understand their expectations of the level of financial information required and will meet with bidders in order to resolve queries. There will be a level of investigative work as part of this role and you will have to work with colleagues within the Finance department as well as other strategic partners in order to ensure that financial data is collected from internal and external sources. The ideal candidate will be a CCAB qualified Accountant with demonstrable public sector experience within a similar role. Experience of investigative finance is a must for this role.
