Summary: Our client in the Kenosha, WI area is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with experience in the medical device OEM market for a 5-6 month contract position. Responsibilities: • Developing, evaluating, improving and documenting Lean Manufacturing Processes. • Creating and maintaining Production Routers, CNC programs and Production Standards. • Developing and implementing process control techniques and procedures into manufacturing environments. • Analyzing manufacturing process flows and floor layout for the enhancements of safety, quality, cost reduction, and throughput. • Creating and implementing manufacturing cells when applicable. • Collaborating with quality control and design engineering regarding product tooling, gaging and design to ensure effectual production methods necessary to achieve zero defect, low product cost and standard work. • Estimating staffing requirements, production times, and relative costs to provide data for operational decisions. • Working closely with manufacturing departments to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees. • Creating and maintaining accurate documentation of tool drawings, design concepts, shop orders, and concepts in accordance with the R&D and quality assurance functions. • Providing engineering support to the production department to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems. • Supporting company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, FDA regulations, and goods manufacturing practices. Qualifications: SPECIALIZED SKILLS • Extensive experience in CNC processes. • Strong background in Process Improvement. • Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma methodology. • Knowledge of CAD CAM for designing and manufacturing. (Master Cam, Esprit or similar) • Knowledge of SPC tools and processes. • Blue Print reading including GD&T dimensioning. • Proficient in 3D Modeling. • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in a related field. • Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment. • Medical Industry background preferred.
