We are planning to launch a couple of e-commerce for our existing businesses. This is not urgent and will be a step by step thing. We have not decided by any specific platform, though the two main candidates are Magento or OS-Commerce. Preferably, the platform needs to be able to run multiple stores on different domains, and if possible, allow mixed orders, from the various stores, since we have a unique salesman and our customers are already used to do that. We would like the bidder to state which platform is more comfortable with, be it Magento or OSCommerce, or any other. We need the following features for now: -Multiple site support (or department, whatever you want to call it) preferably with multiple domains. -The client base needs to be shared, so a customer in one of the sites/departments is also a customer in the other. -If possible, customers should be able to place mixed orders, from multiple sites/departments. -Theming support, I guess any platform supports this, but would be cool to have a wide array of options to choose from, free or not. -pt_PT translation -The backoffice needs to be simple to work with, we'll have a person dedicated to it, but he's not very tech savvy. -We have a huge list of existing customers and products, so it would be very cool to have the possibility to import those into the platform. We can easily generate a list in any kind of format, so anything will do, xml, csv, json, etc. This is the start, as we move forward we will probably need more stuff, via plugins or not, so this may be a long term relation. What we need for now is someone to install and configure this stuff for us. Its not completely decided yet but we will probably have this stuff hosted on aws, so it would be cool if the bidder is already familiar with it, although its not a most, as I'm sure any experienced person will understand how to work with it in 5 minutes. We estimate that this initial job will be very quick, even a non experienced person could do this installation in a few hours, so what we expect most is to find someone quick and reliable to work with in a near future.
