QA Test Lead - Software QA, Non-Functional Testing, Python, Derivatives, Unix, Linux, SQL, FX - 6 month contract - £350-400/d - London A leading financial services company is looking for a Technical Test Lead to manage the workload and provide leadership to the testing team. This will be a very hands-on role and the Test Lead will be required to develop test cases and test scripts and carry out testing with the team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in software QA and testing strategies and methodologies. You must also have strong Python scripting experience and be confident in leading a team. Essential Skills: At least 5 years of working experience in software QA Sound knowledge of approved testing strategies and methodologies; Fundamental understand of derivative markets and instruments; Experience testing in UNIX/Linux environments with no graphical user interfaces; Strong scripting skills - Python Silk Performer Prior experience testing Derivatives trading applications Ability to use SQL for data verification purposes Willingness to design and execute both manual and automated tests; Exposure to non-commercial tools for the automation of functional tests Strong knowledge of performance testing .NET and/or Linux applications; Experience working with defect tracking software; Familiarity with one or more programming languages such as C, C++, Java, VB etc, desired; Ability to document all test material;FX experience is preferable but not essential Expertise with FIX or FIXML protocol based exchange message transport systems; Excellent communication skills Services offered by Computappoint Limited are those of an Employment Business and/or Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
