Business Analyst (Financial Services) My client is a leading Financial Services organisation based in the West Midlands. They are seeking 2 experienced Business Analysts to join them ASAP for contract opportunities (3-6 months). Interviews will take place over the next 2 weeks. The rate being offered is competitive. The role: • Undertake detailed analysis around requirements and defining solutions to address gaps. • Defining and writing Business Requirement Documents in line with Bank standards to be used by the technology teams in creating Technical and Functional Specifications. • Provide estimates and timescales on work packages due, to aid effective planning. • To provide a liaison point between the business areas, IT support and Programme Manager. • Responsible for organising Business user/stakeholder meetings, and confidently discuss requirements, solutions, and articulate points / debate problems or issues. • To highlight & track issues and risks and liaising with owners to ensure timely resolution and escalation. • Help the team deliver quick solutions by developing applications and reporting solutions. • Provide support around Programme Management in tracking milestones. Essential: • Proven Business Analysis experience, preferably within the Operations environment. • Proven end to end experience of the project lifecycle. • Experience of business requirement gathering and translating these into specifications. • Must be flexible and adaptable with the ability to multi-task within a dynamic environment. • Experience of documenting process workflows, results of business analysis, and obtaining sign-off on the specifications, from the stakeholders. • Must be able to confidently & clearly communicate with project team members, business stakeholders, technology and senior management. • Excellent written and spoken communication, across all levels within the business. • Proven problem solving skills with attention to detail. • Ability to understand new concepts, and ideas. o Posses a high degree of drive and determination and deliver to deadlines. • Results orientated, with proven experience of interacting directly with the end user. • Sound MS desktop skills, particularly Power point, Excel. Preferred Skills • Broad knowledge of the Sales, Trading and Operations processes. • Basic knowledge around accounting, financial processes and control. • Experience of working in a SoX compliant organisation.
