Datatel Programmer
The Datatel Programmer Analyst will provide software support to staff in the use of Colleague and third party related systems, including providing telephone support to end users and using Datatel’s Colleague Studio and Envision Toolkit, and Unidata’s Unibasic and Uniquery to develop custom processes and reports for the user community. The Colleague Programmer Analyst will work in collaboration with others to develop project specifications creating clear design documentation to be reviewed and confirmed by the functional area(s) before beginning development. EXPERIENCE: Utilize Datatel’s Envision Toolkit software Support and customize online web services via Datatel’s Webadvisor application. Translate and document users requests into specifications and data flowcharts Assist in the installation and testing of software releases Prepare documentation for end users Use data exported to SQL stores to create ad hoc reports native to SQL environment Retrieve, convert and export Colleague data for use in other systems/databases Assist with system operation duties as required. Provide telephone support for staff using Colleague and related systems. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Experience in the use of report generation and programming languages preferably Unidata’s Unibasic and Uniquery or Prime’s Information and Info-Basic. UNIX/AIX platform experience desired. Knowledge and/or experience with Unidata RDBMS and/or PICK based programming language. Experience with CASE Tools a plus. Experience or knowledge of SQL databases and reporting is desired. Proven ability to work independently and as a part of a productive team. Strong verbal communication and writing skills BS in related field or equivalent professional experience.
