Job Description I need a software that performs the following tasks. This could be browser based and could even require an external server (preferably linux), or it might be a specially written app or it might be based on an existing app. Please suggest a solution in your job application. If an existing app exists please make a bid below the budget. This will be the prefered solution. If you need to write an app, you can make a bid higher than the budget. If no better solution shows up you will get the job anyways. Functionality: - The solution must run on a 7" or 10" tablet full screen on Android 2.3 - It must not be possible to exit the app without a password (other than resetting the device), UPDATE: restarting the app automatically after closing would be OK. - The software displays one of a few pages of information - Pages cycle after 10 seconds automatically. - a click anywhere on the screen cycles to the next page immediately Supported page content must be: - a single page designed by the user (You choose the format: PDF, PNG, HTML, SVG) - a calendar feed in .ics format in list format (title and url configurable, display as many events as fit on the page) - a table provided in a text based format of your choice (wiki markup, HTML, XML, ...) - an RSS feed, display as many items as fit on the page. What pages are displayed must be configurable, for example by a simple text file or XML file. This could be located on the android phone are retrieved from an URL. Same for the content. This could be stored locally or retrieved via HTTP or FTP. Your choice. =====================0 UPDATE: This is for a single installation so try to think of a solution that is as simple as possible. Maybe you can control a browser to cycle through a list of URLs and prohibit clicking on them. I can then use other ressource to format the various data formats to something the browser can render.
