The successful candidate should show proven experience in developing using the WordPress API. Skills should include: • Excellent PHP/Javascript development with an understanding of SQL • Development experience with mark-up (X)HMTL • Experience developing and working with cascading style sheets (CSS) • Development experience with PHP & MySQL • Excellent working knowledge of Wordpress platform including ability to program custom themes and implement commercial / non-commercial extensions • Experience with JavaScript programming • Working knowledge of the jQuery framework Preferred Skills/Abilities • Working knowledge of SEO best practices • Experience with cross browser testing • Experience with site performance testing • Working knowledge of accessibility and usability best practices • Experience with open source content management systems such as WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal. • Experience working with Linux web servers and WHM/Cpanel systems.
