We’re a company called Quirky. What are we Quirky about? We make invention accessible to everyone in the world. We develop two brand new consumer products every week. The ideas for those products come from anyone who has had “wouldn’t it be cool if...” type ideas for decades. So yeah, two products per week and brand-new product lines, that’s why we’re writing this job description. We need a brilliant copywriter to join our team: one who is quick thinking and witty with a passion for consumer products. Responsibilities: Writing and editing copy for Quirky's products, packaging, web, advertisements, public relations, marketing and more. Working and collaborating closely with creative director, head of marketing and design teams. Rapidly generating ideas and writing. You've got to be able to come up with ideas at a drop of a hat. Necessary Qualifications: 4+ years of experience writing copy. Agency and/or consumer goods background. Appetite for products, brands and design. Clever, witty, concise and attention grabbing writing style. Skilled at writing across multiple voices (one product's copy may need to be written in multiple tones). Our brand styles range from arrogant/confident to homely/humble. Good grasp on popular culture/media (if we ask for GQ style, you know what we mean). Strong visualization skills. High energy.
