Volt is currently seeking a 2nd and 3rd shift Manufacturing Engineers to work on-site in Moline, IL with our client in a contingent position expected to last approximately 2 years. In this position the Manufacturing Engineers will: - Provide support and trouble shooting for current operations such as assembly, machining, and/or welding. -Plan, coordinate and perform manufacturing engineering work for a project or process of limited scope. -Implement routings, methods, layouts, tools and quality plans for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of limited scope. -Identify and implement cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas, participate in team studies to develop and implement plans to support lean manufacturing, and improve material flow and material presentation. Requirements: - A bachelors degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Technology is preferred. Otherwise must have equivalent work experience in one or more of the related fields (assembly, machining, or welding engineering) and possess a Journeyman's Card. -Candidates must have 2-5 years of hands on experience with machining, welding and/or automated assembly. -MUST have previous experience working in a machine shop environment working with CNC programming as candidates will support multiple CNC machines on the floor.
