Mechanical Design Engineer Overview of Company Our client is a market leader in advanced coatings for internal surfaces within mostly the Oil & Gas Industry. Their proven method of product improvement and patented coating process has made our client a specialist within the industry. The patented product provides a powerful blocker against corrosion, erosion, abrasion and fouling while maximizing flow which has helped clients to significantly reduce operational costs. This high tech facility can best be described as a small family like team environment that collaborates and enjoys what they do to achieve the common company goal. We have had a great relationship with the Sr. Management for the last several years which helps us to provide quick and accurate feedback. Interviews will consist of a phone interview then one or two face to face interviews. Overview of Position We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong SolidWorks experience within large assembly modeling and system designs. This position will not be all design but also managing and/or re-designing equipment, with the intention of more complete designing of new pilot machines in the future. Candidates must also have knowledge of pneumatic controls, PLC's, power distribution and other power systems. Mechanical Engineers should be strong with documentation, document process and document integration. Engineers must be able to manage projects including communicating well with vendors and machine shops. ME's with hands on electro-mechanical or mechanical assembly experience is a major plus. Ideal Equipment Background: Plasma and vacuum systems that include high power and gas delivery components. This is not a requirement however is preferred. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of large equipment modeling experience, ideally utilizing Solidworks. Experience managing projects that include design of machine components ideally within vacuum, high power and gas delivery systems. The ability to review, manage and update design documentations, to create an efficient document process as well to ensure engineering principles, company standards and requirements are being meet. Knowledge of pneumatic and electrical systems including PLC's and power distribution. Experience working with rough sketch layouts to compute angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances and leverages and location of holes. Excellent communication skills that include experience working with vendors and machine shops. Ideally individuals that have electro-mechanical or mechanical hands on assembly experience is a plus.
