As a member of the IT Applications team in Redwood City, California, the Business Analyst will coordinate and drive to completion finance process changes, often involving cross-functional areas of responsibility. This person will coordinate and drive to completion changes to the global financial applications required as a result of process changes, business changes and enhancement requests. The Business Analyst will be the first point of contact for the finance super users (finance managers responsible for specific areas of finance). The BA must have a strong appreciation for the system configuration; be able to answer questions from the finance group about the system's functionality; and be able to evaluate enhancement requests and work with the technical team to resolve bugs and implement changes. Responsibilities: * Work closely with end users to identify and document functional requirements for enhancements/upgrades to the PeopleSoft system * Coordinate changes to the financial applications with the Finance and Data Warehouse teams * Develop reports (Crystal, nVision, Query) for one time analysis and ongoing use * Perform production support of PeopleSoft Financials - General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Asset Management, and Purchasing * Develop documentation and provide communication to end users * Work closely with technical team to ensure the system solution meets the documented requirements * Develop, manage and implement a testing plan to ensure the system meets end user requirements; use QMetry/Jira to capture test scripts and test results * Ensure that user requests are continuously tracked as a means of identifying common problems that may require a global solution * Support integrations with SaaS solutions (Concur, OpenAir) * Support other non-PeopleSoft Finance applications, like but not limited to, ImageNow, Po Req (custom requisition application) and Hyperion Planning * Participate in a testing role during a PeopleSoft 9.1 upgrade The successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): * B.S (Finance, Business, or IT), or equivalent experience * Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst supporting a Finance organization * Extensive configuration knowledge (minimum of 3 years) with PeopleSoft GL, AP, AM, and PO, including multi-currency, VAT, document sequencing and alternate accounts * Experience creating queries using PS Query * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Effective presentation and facilitation skills * Ability to gather and organize business processes and system requirements * Strong interpersonal skills * Experience with PeopleSoft 8.x * Experience in business requirements gathering, process analysis and design, gap analysis, functional design specifications, system configuration, and development of system tests, procedures and documentation
