Senior Solicitor - Employment, Discipline and OHS
Large Government Organisation Sydney CBD Location 12 Month Contracted role Reporting to the Legal Manager Employment, you will assist in providing professional legal advice to senior management and line managers, manage the provision of legal services by external service providers and where necessary, liaise with relevant third parties to achieve legislative and policy change. Essential Skills/Qualifications Admitted as a solicitor in NSW with a minimum of 4 years of experience Experience in employment and industrial law in 2 or more of the following areas: Commercial Law/Civil Litigation; Occupational Health & Safety Law; and Government/Administrative law Experience in managing litigated employment claims in Federal and State tribunals/commissions Demonstrated ability to manage large workload and to prioritise appropriately Skills as a negotiator and in the dispute resolution process Proven research, analytical and problem solving skills Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills Ability to ensure external legal services are provided in a timely and cost effective manner.
