What we're up to The internet is getting overwhelming and unruly- many aren't finding the best of it because of content overload. We're creating cloudable.me to help users share, organize and discover the best stuff online. The concept is big: we're looking to change the way you think about the web. About us The founders have experience in eCommerce and start-ups. In our previous lives we have driven online social strategies, managed partnerships with innovators such as Google and shopkick, and raised $800k in VC funding from Lightbank (Groupon's original investor). Cloudable was conceived while studying online consumer behavior, social commerce and gaps in social offerings for 'stuff'. We're picking up steam. We recently won a Wharton Venture Award, which has been awarded to successful startups including Invite Media, Milo and Warby Parker in the past. We also have great mentors and advisors, including a web startup founder who exited for $100M, a tech VC managing director and the UPenn CIS National Chair. About the Job For product design and development, you're the man. You assure the successful execution of cloudable's mission by leading the development and deployment of the online experience. Responsibilities Include: Bridge the gap between strategy and reality, leading the architecture of how to bring cloudable to life Lead the designing, building, testing and deployment of the cloudable platform, from data management to UX, by writing the cornerstones of cloudable's code Manage the development of robust algorithms that rapidly make loads of data useful Manage a growing technical team to develop cloudable (where growing means starting from scratch and managing means directing, guiding and mentoring) Manage tech operations and tech infrastructure About you (what we're looking for): Substantial experience (3+ years) with end to end web application development, including php, python, or perl, js, css, MySQL (or some ORDBMS) Relish in leading big ideas and overcoming tough challenges Enjoy leading and developing others, with proven leadership ability Hate BS, have the upmost integrity and practice transparency Passionate about 'the product', self-motivated, and love to code Bachelors in CS or Engineering preferred Experience with the Facebook and Twitter APIs a plus The offer join as an early and critical member of a team with passion and momentum as a cofounder equity and/or cash compensation opportunity to work with a passionate, committed and fun team Desired Skills: MySQL, PHP, Ruby on Rails Keywords: Web Programming, MySQL, PHP, Ruby, Rail
