Healthcare Project Manager
As the Healthcare Project Manager in San Francisco, California, your responsibilities will include: * Develop work plans, in conjunction with CLaS team, to configure CLaS systems * Participate in status meetings * Oversee and execute against the work plan; update the work plan regularly * Coordinate interdepartmental activities ensuring an on schedule completion of the project within budget * Interface with people from various business units and entities on technical issues and project status * Monitor work of team members and provide guidance and leadership as needed * Monitor progress of projects; flag and escalate activities not progressing to plan or at risk * Perform rescheduling, re-scoping, change management and resource allocation in the project work plans, as needed * Identify and execute opportunities for continuous improvement * Produce detailed status reports * Work with minimal supervision in a team environment; ask for assistance when needed * Other duties as assigned Specific Requirements (required unless noted otherwise): * Bachelor's degree * 6 - 8 years of experience in related area * Master's degree or clinical licenses are strongly preferred * Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in and with teams * Strong presentation development skills, including complex analysis * Ability to deliver presentations containing complex data and influence decision making * Ability to interact with all levels of senior management * Excellent written and oral communications skills * Highly proficient with MS Office programs: Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Word * Creative problem solving ability * Previous project management experience * 3 - 5 years of healthcare experience with a national/regional health plan or health system * Familiar with health plan management including strategy and operations (network management, health care services, product development, etc.) * Strong knowledge of managed care principles and practices * Familiar with provider contracts and contracting terminology * PMP certification is desirable but not essential
