SUMMARY: A G lobal consulting services organization, is seeking an experienced Oracle e-Business Suite (Purchasing) Functional Consultant with expertise in Oracle Purchasing to play a key role designing, implementing, and extending the applications used in our clients. This position will be responsible for the functional design, configuration and support of applications with a primary focus on the global deployment of applications within the e-Business suite. Core activities will include gathering and defining requirements, configuration of standard applications, gap analysis, functional design of application extensions, and end user support for multiple modules in multiple geographies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following. Interacts with business customers to understand and document their business processes and requirements. § Performs gap analysis to determine e-Business suite system configuration and development changes. § Creates business requirements documents, system configuration documents, detailed functional design documents, test plans and test cases, user training documents and implementation documents. § Performs functional tasks to implement customer requirements in various environments and promote these changes to higher environments as required. § Performs triage / troubleshooting activities for functionally related problems in customer environments. § Participates as a member of a Service Delivery Team for Managed Clients coordinating activities with various other Service Delivery Team members in related disciplines (Database Administration, Operations, etc) Requirements Requirements Technical / Business Experience § Experience working with Oracle Purchasing hands on with focus on implementing and supporting Oracle Purchasing, Iprocurement,iSupplier § A strong functional knowledge of Oracle e-Business suite release 11i / R12 in a multi-organization and multi-set of books environment. § Ability to work independently with limited general supervision. § Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively organize and communicate across functional and technical lines are critical. § Root cause analysis and complex problem solving skills are important. § Must have very strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
