Bilingual Castilian Spanish QA Tester
Our client in San Diego is looking for a Castilian Spanish Localization Tester for an upcoming project. This is your chance to use your language skills and be a part of a great industry! Spanish Localization Tester Job Location: San Diego, CA As a QA Tester, you will check all the text in video games in Castilian Spanish. You will be required to identify and maintain overall consistency, accuracy and appropriateness of the translations in the game. You will also be required to identify and report any grammatical errors. Compensation: $13.00 per hour Primary Responsibilities: Correct and improve linguistic aspect of a pre-released game Work with other linguists to maintain content appropriateness, consistency and accuracy across other languages Report any issues that are discovered during test into a bug tracking database Take full ownership of your assigned language to make sure you meet task deadlines and identify any potential risks Requirements: Complete fluency in Castilian Spanish with excellent grammar Ability to comfortably read, write and translate in Spanish and English Excellent creative writing skills Understanding of current cultural and ethical issues in Spanish Attention to detail and ability to work on a team Ability to work 40 hours per week Monday-Friday 9:30am-6:30pm Ability to work overtime when needed (Overtime rate: time and a half) Familiarity with video games--MMO players a plus Familiarity with office software: MS Word, MS Excel, etc Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment Qualified candidates please send your resume to rlind@nelsoninteractive.net for immediate consideration.
