The Application Database Administration Team within Client Production Support Services organization is looking to hire a DBA with experience in DB2/MVS in a production environment supporting the PWI DC product line. The ideal candidate would also have some exposure to replication technologies such as QREP or Informatica PowerExchange CDC. The Database Operations team provides 24x7 database administration services for the PWI core databases and applications. This team partners closely with other PWI IT Production Operations teams, FTG/Enterprise Infrastructure teams, and PWI IT Development organizations to provide production stability and availability. Key responsibilities will include working with developers to promote table changes throughout the environment, performing production binds, code reviews and data loads. Team members participate in a weekly 7X24 on-call rotation every 3-4 weeks with off-hours responsibilities on nights and weekends. Primary Responsibilities: DBA administration tasks in a DB2 / MVS environment Work on complex assignments and multiple phases of a project Roll-out database schema changes in production and non-production environments Perform data copies and loads between environments Monitor database health Perform on-call support on rotational basis Troubleshooting database issues The successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): Migration of table objects in various environments, troubleshooting performance issues, participating in a weekly on-call rotation, and following the production support organization's process and policies Experience with enterprise IT production change and release practices are important Education and Experience: 5+ years of DBA experience with DB2 / MVS Experience with MVS, CICS, TSO, and JCL Experience with replication technologies such as IBM QREP or Informatica PowerExchange is a plus Communication and team skills SQL Database access language Performance / Tuning options and tools Database productivity tools Database utilities Automation experience is a plus Candidates should be able to perform complex DB2 DBA tasks
