Current Need Clinical Lead, InterQual Level of Care Content Position Description The InterQual Level of Care Clinical Lead is responsible for the execution of the Level of Care content scope in alignment with the IQ product and content strategy to meet MHS financial and operational targets. In collaboration with the Level of Care Medical Director, the Clinical Lead independently develops and updates clinical content and supervises product specific development by clinical content developers. Using medical literature review, synthesis of clinical information and data analysis and in collaboration with external clinical specialty consultants, the Clinical Lead ensures the clinical content for the Level of Care suite of products represents best practice standards that meet requirements for different users, applications and contexts. Additional responsibilities include quality assurance (QA) of the content, responding to internal and external client questions and mentoring of both new and current employees to support department orientation, skill development, product and industry knowledge transfer, and application training. Key Responsibilities 1. Applies advanced clinical practice expertise to the development of clinical content in addition to searching, analyzing and synthesizing medical literature and clinical standards and guidelines. Supervises team members as they develop clinical content to help ensure clinical accuracy, consistency, and product specifications are met. Independently manages key milestones and deadlines associated with development projects. 45% 2. Collaborates with product design, clinical strategy and clinical development team to develop and re-structure clinical content for different users, applications and contexts. 25% 4. Demonstrates proficiency with product functionality and support. Mentors new and current clinical employees on development and research skills. Serves as an internal clinical resource to other functional areas such as; Software development, Training, Documentation, Customer Support and Business Services to address product-specific clinical questions. 20% 5. Maintain ongoing understanding of clinical content in other products. Provide consistency via the QA process across all products. 5% 6. Applies knowledge gained through professional development and communicates it to internal and/or external parties. 5% Minimum Requirements Business Experience - 6+ years clinical practice, 3+ years in advanced practice role. Knowledge of utilization management or case management a plus. Specialized Knowledge/Skills ¿ Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and computer skills required. Research capabilities, writing experience, creativity, problem-solving capabilities and/or experience designing algorithms strongly preferred. Education Advanced practice independent practitioner ¿ Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (with a professional license and certification in good standing). Experience working in acute care setting and managing conditions across settings. BS of Nursing Physical Requirements Environment (Office, warehouse, etc.) ¿ Office. Equipment includes: PC, telephone, copy machine. Physical Requirements (Lifting, standing, etc.) ¿ General office demands, keyboard several hours per day.
