Senior Business Systems Analyst The team: Consisting of experienced, motivated, creative, self-sufficient and savvy high performers in the information technology fields, our team manages the delivery capabilities for development and marketing functions at Adobe. We are responsible for collaborating with IT and business clients to understand key business objectives and IT delivery capabilities to provide fully integrated solutions. The role: As a Senior BSA, you are the key driver toward the development of state of the art marketing functionality for Adobe. You are passionate about all aspects of marketing - demand generation, web strategy, data management, social media, search engine optimization and lead nurturing to name a few. You have a critical partnership role, working closely with marketing subject matter experts to define to-be processes, PMs to develop project plans, work breakdown structures and deliverables for overall solution delivery, with other BSAs both within Adobe and the acquired company, as well as with business partners. To be successful, you must be a well rounded individual who thrives in a fast paced, demanding environment with the willingness to dig deep into details as well as the ability to assess the big picture. You must be able to think outside the box since it is the responsibility of the position to come up with solutions for real-life problems. You must be self-driven and able to work with ambiguous requirements with little or no guidance. Responsibilities This position will be working collaboratively with business units and other IT team members to Assist business stakeholders in defining requirements. Translate the business requirements, strategies and goals into an IT solution. Serves as a technology thought leader for assigned business functions, focus on marketing and product, and advises business partners accordingly. Research, analyze, and recommend solutions which meet the business needs. Interface with business users and technical staff to translate business user requirements into technical documentation such as use cases, process diagrams, functional design documents, and other system documentation required by project lifecycle methodologies. Analyze business requirements, explore and evaluate various options, configure the application to meet requirements, and coordinate testing with QA and User Acceptance testers. Translate business architecture through the elicitation and definition of functional requirements. Produce system documentation and data flows. Interface on a day to day basis with other solution analysts, business users, engineers and IT managers to support business operations. Be a major player in business process improvement and a catalyst for building mature processes. Develop business specifications for application development or enhancements and be the key interface between users and engineers. Requirements Obviously intelligent with a passion for marketing and IT but ego in check; eager to collaborate to envision and build the best solution. Innovation, creativity and an outside-the-box mindset are all keys to your success as you work with stakeholders and delve into the real business needs of the client and not just take the face value of what the needs may be. Self motivated with strong leadership and presence The ability to build credibility and trust with both team members and senior management Excellent presentation oral and written communication skills Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills Ability to lead by influence and impact business decisions/processes through effective networking Ability to balance multiple tasks/priorities, consistently meeting deadlines Ability to defuse tension among project team, should it arise. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial. Must possess critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Business or related field Minimum 10 years writing IT requirements experience in a complex work environment Minimum of 10 years performing the specification and analysis of functional, nonfunctional, and information requirements in order to develop the specifications of an IT solution; ideally with Adobe tools such as those acquired in the Omniture and Day acquisitions (SiteCatalyst, Test and Target, CQ and CRX, etc.) Experience with Marketing automation and solutions. Proficiency in documenting Use Cases, Requirements, Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams and Data Flow Diagrams in a technical environment.
