With the vision to drive harmonious urbanization with evolving technology city concepts and environmental friendly and energy saving products and solutions, the joined R&D Innovation Center will become a competent and acknowledged partner helping its customers to cope with future technology challenges of Eco-cities: ·          Help its customers to find the suitable levers to fulfill all relevant key performance indicators for technology solutions of today and in the future. ·          By creation of a platform linking together the customers with worldwide research and development resources, it facilitate and drive R&D projects for future city products and solutions Piloting Project Lead Location: Tianjin, China Job Type: Full-time regular Open Date: Immediate Position Description & Responsibilities : He/She will be responsible for the leadership to provide a real Eco-City test-bed platform for prototypes of industrial customers and support with commercialization on the Chinese market. Primary Roles/Responsibilities: Strategy and Planning: ·          Collaborate with executive management and department leaders to assess near- and mid-term needs. ·          Create the project plan as it relates to the innovative eco-solutions. ·          Work collaboratively with partners to align system solutions and offering for implementation.  Lead of Piloting Project: Excellent presentation skill required as participation in project acquisition and other communications is expected.  Job duties include, but are not limited to the following  ·          Facilitation of areas suitable for testing including identifying and organizing prototypes & test-beds & partners from inside & outside of Siemens with benefits to Siemens & stakeholders. ·          Guide and manage system design, configuration, integration, verification, and troubleshooting of innovative solutions on a customer site or in a lab environment using eco-technologies/products/solutions from Siemens, 3rd party, or customized packages. ·          Providing ongoing pilot support throughout implementation as well as driving new solutions development in order to meet the customer's expectations. ·           Drive business with the customer by finding new convergence opportunities based on expanding existing solutions as well as creating new ones. ·           Attend and participate in customer meetings for specific solutions and different areas. ·           Carry out solution analysis and planning for test-bed from various customers. ·           Facilitate pilot operation & maintenance &  result analysis based on the gained data. ·          Initiate and manage the test-bed/pilot project for testing future eco-city products/solutions. ·          Guide internal and external partners to bring projects to a successful exit with IP consideration. ·          Provide technical direction for lab assistants/engineers. ·          Support to demonstrate innovative solutions for future Eco-city. ·          Collaborate with local & international partners in the area of eco-city.  Qualifications: ·          BS or MS or above in EE, CS, Control Engineering, Environment Engineering, Building Environment & Equipment Engineering or related field ·          8+ years previous experience working in system design and integration ·          Overseas or Multi-International Company working experience in at least one of the following fields: building, energy, transportation (including e-car, e-bus, ITS,…) or other city infrastructure related areas. ·          Demonstrated installed and configured system solutions with products from Siemens for city infrastructure is a plus ·          Excellent troubleshooting skills in the applications of above fields. ·          Strong knowledge in integrated demand response/Building control & energy management or smart grid/ E-car infrastructure or security system for city is preferable. ·          Demonstrated engineering project management skills. ·          Proven experience in Business Objects and built reports for customer. ·          Proven abstraction and problem analytic skills with open mind ·          Demonstrated capability to create innovative technical solutions ·          Demonstrated tenacity and flexibility to rapidly and reliably achieve goals ·          Knowledge of various eco-city practices and standards/regulations in China and abroad is a plus.  Desired Skills/Competencies: ·          Willingness to learn new technologies and maintain sustainable city related knowledge. ·           Ability to accommodate some travel including extended stays on customer sites when necessary. ·          Strong problem solving skills and analytical ability. ·          Ability to work under stressful situations, meet tight deadlines and deliver with high quality ·          Ability to lead and motivate others and work in a team environment. ·          Excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English in order to be able to participate and drive customer meetings. ·          Aspiration to develop solutions architecture competency. ·          Project Management (PM). ·          Understanding of Business Objects. ·          Network of eco-city stakeholders and/or partners for system integration is a plus.  ·          Strong knowledge of Siemens solutions from sectors of I&C is a plus.
