The Java Developer will analyze, design, develop, document, and implement new software applications and maintenance of existing applications in order to provide information technology solutions for the corporation. The incumbent will be a part of a large-scale project requiring maintaining multiple systems resources and serve as a resource for Programmer Analysts, Jr. Programmer Analysts, Programmers and Jr. Programmers. We are actively speaking with applicants with four or more years of programming experience with JAVA and Object Oriented Design. Other necessary experience includes: Java J2EE technologies including Servlets and Java Server Pages (JSP), SQL and relational-database skills, analyzing customer needs, and designing new systems and modifying existing systems. Preferred skills include IBM Websphere application server, MQ-Series, Web Services, Struts/Struts 2, Javascript and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and Application Security. Other experience that would make for an easier transition include experience in a position interpreting and communicating information orally and written, experience in a position requiring the ability to identify and solve problems, as well as organizing and prioritizing tasks.
