Senior Performance Engineer - 288001
Senior Performance Engineer to design and implement a performance/stress/reliability methodology and test automation framework, including benchmarking tools, and associated reporting/analytics infrastructure. Requirements: Work with architects, product development, and operations teams to develop our performance testing strategy and define performance/ scalability metrics and scenarios Actively participate in daily scrums and code/design reviews, providing performance engineering feedback on various platform components Profile all aspects of our software and technology stack to identify performance and scalability bottlenecks Gather, analyze, and present performance data Evangelize performance engineering best practices across disciplines and drive improvements across multiple teams Collaborate with other performance engineers and testers across Intuit and the industry to share knowledge, tools & best practices Mentor others on performance engineering and scalability topics Qualifications: 5+ years of experience with software design and development in an object oriented language using C# or Java 3+ years enterprise level performance engineering experience with scalability issues including test planning, design and development, testing web applications Demonstrated ability to understand system architectures, pinpoint problem areas, demonstrate the ability to analyze data for bottlenecks, and develop succinct test plans across multiple hardware and software tiers Strong hands-on experience leveraging commercial and home grown performance engineering and test methodologies, tools, and infrastructure A track record of building or adopting robust performance/scale/reliability test automation frameworks, benchmarks, and profiling tools Ability to identify potential limitations in software architectures Outstanding attention to detail and communication skills ability to analyze/ interpret technical data Understanding of throughput, latency, memory and CPU utilization Working knowledge of operating system design/tuning Working knowledge of database tuning and administration Working knowledge of load generation /measurement software (e.g. Silkperformer, LoadRunner, JMeter, TestMaker, Grinder, Fiddler, Firebug) Familiar with debugging/monitoring software (e.g. Dynatrace, Introscope) Demonstrated ability building and maintaining strong cross discipline and cross group technical relationships Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills The ability to work independently, be self-driven, and ready for a fast-paced environment Experience in Agile/Scrum environment A Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent industry experience Additional Information: We are unable to sponsor H1B Visa’s and/or subcontract to Third Party Vendors.
