Tech Lead
Please note this is a W-2 only position- Job Title: Tech Lead Duties: Provide leadership to development team and interface with architects as needed. Manage release management process for 8 partner club website releases. Manage daily scrum calls Interface with Cognizant onsite lead developers. On-time release of 32 websites for partner state rollout. Responsible for providing consultancy on decisions and priorities regarding current infrastructure enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of IT Systems. Suggest plans to integrate new and existing processes. Provides input, supports planning and prioritization for business process and development of engineering related activities. Provides guidance and internal consulting toward integration of multiple systems. Possesses knowledge and experience leveraging bothy IT solutions and business process improvements. Responsible for providing consultancy on decisions and priorities regarding current infrastructure enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of IT systems. Suggest plans to integrate new and existing processes. Provides input, supports planning and prioritization for business process and development of engineering related activities. Works with SME’s to develop solutions to resolve technical and business issues. Provides guidance and internal consulting toward integration of multiple systems. Provides leadership in building out of solutions on projects and work efforts. Deliver high-quality solutions to ensure our customer investment in technology is consistent with their business objectives. Provides recommendation and input in the design, development and deployment of future use of technology. Working knowledge of guidelines that leverages approved designs of technology solutions. Facilitates delivery of new enterprise class products and services. Updates design documents and system overviews. Technical delivery leader for technology advice for the overall technical implementation and execution of project. Collaborate with other domain experts/product owners. Contributes to product/service development. Explains complex subjects to a diverse audience with a wide variety of technical and business skills. Works in an office environment sitting at a desk, table or computer workstation for long periods of time. May travel by car, plane or other forms of transportation to attend business meetings or conferences. Approximately 50-80 percent of time spent on the job involves the use of a personal computer. Skills: Required: Management of agile projects. Management of large teams. Understanding of release management process. Scrum master. Strong leadership and communication skills. Experience with developing customer-facign websites. Strong understanding of agile methodology. .Net development / project management experience. MS Project. Project leadership ability including mapping out technical and business dependencies, milestones and timelines. Leadership skills, conviction and determination in delivery of technical solutions. Knowledge of company product lines and document structure. Broad knowledge of enterprise class infrastructure platforms and the technology to support them. (i.e. Cisco Network, Avaya VoIP, Call center & CTI solutions, Windows Servers, Storage). Demonstrated ability to work with business customers, IT analysts, and management from a business perspective, while communicating the salient technology implications. Ability to advocate the business positions and requirements with technology teams. Ability to advocate technology value and requirements with senior management. Able to communicate technical options and costs. Understands key business line functions (such as DMV, Branch office business models, etc.). Understands the direction of the business and implications for IT such as a result of branch relocations, closures, and openings. Knowledge of project management practices such as schedule management, cost management, resource management, and risk management. Ability to coordinate various activities with multiple parties such as domain architects, vendors, operations, etc. while producing a complete solution. Demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels and types of organizational situations. Effective written communication skills, Knowledge of artifacts like statements of work (SOW), risk summaries, standards and other program documentation. Analytic skills for planning, estimating, budgeting. Preferred: Expertise in infrastructure work efforts or initiatives such as datacenter consolidation, relocations, new facilities, and integration efforts with other partner clubs. Working knowledge of enterprise policies and best practices related to networking & security protocols. Knowledge of advanced ITIL framework processes and best practices. 3 - 5 years IT experience working in multiple system environments. 3 - 5 years Hardware/software installation and troubleshooting. Foundations certification(s) in best practices frameworks such as ITIL.
