The role: Quality Evaluator (Temporary) - Los Angeles Quality Evaluators work on a multilingual team to help us improve the quality of Googleas advertising products. You should be analytical, a quick learner, and passionate about providing a better advertising experience for Google users. Quality Evaluators are voracious readers with a broad range of interests. They must have full fluency in the language theyall be working on and a broad, robust command of Internet culture in the relevant language market. You will work with Linguists and Engineers to help improve the quality of next generation online ad targeting services. Minimum qualifications: * BA/BS or equivalent degree. In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience * College-level fluency in reading/writing English * Valid US Work Authorization. Work must be performed in the Google Los Angeles office Preferred qualifications: * One year experience working in an office or academic environment * Experience using internet search engines for business or personal use * Excellent web research and analytical capabilities. * College-level fluency in reading/writing English. * Fluency in the language you are applying for, including: ability to read and comprehend newspaper-level text quickly without consulting a dictionary; ability to interpret both the content and tone of colloquialisms, regionalisms, and other subtleties; ability to catch/understand everyday popular culture references, everyday historical and geographical knowledge; ability to detect when advertising language sounds funny, awkward, or unnatural, even if grammatically correct; broad experience (as user/consumer) of the internet and print culture; and broad out-of-classroom experience.
