Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer Job Duration: 6 Months Location: Beaverton, Oregon The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will be an integral part of a diverse team of QA Analysts. The applicant will apply their expertise to ensure the delivery of high quality products by testing new and ongoing initiatives. The SQA resource will need to be knowledgeable of all aspects of the SQA lifecycle beginning with the requirements phase thru test case/plan creation, execution and reporting. RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform analysis of requirements documents to derive test cases and test plans. Execute test cases/procedures and accurately and concisely report both progress and defect status, including gathering and reporting on project quality metrics. Track defects through the entire defect lifecycle. Perform Quality Reviews on Software Specification Documents and provide meaningful feedback to Business Analysts. Pro-actively work with Development and Support staff in problem analysis, reproduction, and resolution. Troubleshoot and find root cause of issues found during testing using technical knowledge. Perform application/SQL deployments. REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Minimum 7 years experience testing data intensive, web-based technologies (including HTML, .NET, ASP.NET, XML) and n-tier systems. Experience testing back-end batch routines via tiered architecture absent of front-end user interface. Intermediate/Advanced experience with Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL) or similar technology. This should include working experience in the execution, interpretation, and authoring of stored procedures and/or SSIS packages (SQL Server is preferred, but other database platforms are acceptable). Intermediate/Advanced experience with ETL and/or Data Warehousing (Informatica is preferred). Intermediate/Advanced experience with data analysis, predictive analytics, and/or rules model validation (includes knowledge of database aggregate functions, ILOG/Jrules, InRule, and/or Rules Express). Experience testing Web Services and SOA technologies desirable, preferably with WebSphere. Experience in using configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, debugging tools, and testing tools. In-depth knowledge of Test Planning, Test Case Specification, and Test Procedure Development. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Proven ability to work independently and pro-actively with sense of business and technical motivation. Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience testing ETL projects is a plus. Experience in testing Linux-based applications. Experience in testing applications on a Citrix environment. Experience in maintaining Virtual Machine testing environments. Experience in automated testing. Experience testing Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) environments. Expertise with all phases and stages of software testing (Functional, System, Integration, Data Validation, User Acceptance, Scalability, Performance, Stress, and Load). Experience in the data analytics discipline (especially with respect to rules models, simulations, and predictive analytics).
