We are looking for a Veritas resource to help with a pre-sales award with our client in the D.C. area. We need some consulting services for the install/updates of Veritas (High Availability) software with AIX Servers. This would initially be a part-time off hours opportunity until we won the award, and then we would need this resource full-time to help implement the scope of work. This client currently uses Veritas 5.0 with their Laboratory Information System, Sunquest. It is installed on their 2 P550 servers, each located in a separate Data Center, 2 partitions each, running AIX 5.3 TL12. Each P550 is tied to an EMC SAN located in that Data Center. The SANs are tied together over an isolated SAN replication circuit. All of their LUNs are replicated using SRDF. The Main Lab application database primary partition is located at their Tech Hill data center and the HA partition is located at our Sterling data center. The Anatomic Pathology database primary partition is located at their Sterling data center and the HA partition is located at their Tech Hill data center. They need to upgrade AIX to 6.1 on all 4 partitions, which their LIS vendor will take care of. When they upgrade AIX, they also need to upgrade Veritas to v5.1.
