I need a logo designed that will be incorporated firstly on a wine label, however over time it could be used on all other marketing material for the company - packaging for cheese, produce, preserved foods, chutneys and meat. The name for the product is: Takapoto Now I have to describe Takapoto to you! To me it's its own slice of paradise here in the heart of Cambridge, New Zealand. It borders a long lake (Lake Karapiro) and is currently run as a dairy farm plus it now has a very small winery on it (for the owner's consumption only). It has a vegetable garden that produces enough produce to feed 10 community families. The dairy farm will soon become a beef farm only. The owners work on the farm and they are passionate about turning the once farm into a private garden and have planted over 500,000 native trees on it over the last 2 years. The park is to become self sufficient. The river is very important as it flows through, and has a life of its own. The park has it's own bores, an amazing ampi-theatre, is a haven for birds (the tuis on the day that I was there was amazing). They have planted the park to bring back the birds and bees. Board-walks have been built so you can or cycle throughout the park ? one even has a bar in the middle of it. You go through lush green native bush, listening to the natural waterfalls and then come across barrels in the middle of the walk and you can sit down and have a drink. The park also has around 17 different cycling tracks ? all for the use of the clients and their guests! There are numerous natural waterfalls on the property as well. Some have been hidden for years, but have now all the 'rubbish' around them have been cut back, manicured and they are stunning. Even just sitting and listening to them is amazing. If you think of a manicured English, with the lawns looking like a soccer field (takes over a week to mow them all ? then you've got to start again), however with the New Zealand (ish) feel to it ? ferns, tuis, native trees and Kiwi Passion. To me, it's what I have dreamed Heaven is like ? a peaceful paradise. I'd like a logo that is clean, crisp, uncluttered - yet incorporates the feeling of Takapoto. The logo will then be used on a wine label, however needs to also be able to go across the other products if required. With the wine label, we are looking at embossing - if possible and even using foil - depending on logo design.
