Temporary Database Developer

It is built on over 60 years’ heritage in the design, engineering and manufacture of specialized high-reliability components and sub-systems supplied globally to industry leading system OEMs for aerospace and defense systems. We are in need of a temporary Database Developer to create and maintain a database to provide queried information for problem solving, and for the storage of company records. Responsibilities: - Candidate is responsible for the re-design, development, deployment, and customization of a proprietary database, and interface application, utilizing an SQL backend. - Development in MS GP Dynamics. - Interfacing with end users in the re-design and/or development process. - Managing department customization work orders. - Helping to support SQL administration. Qualifications: - Candidate must be a U.S. citizen. - Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a similar area of specialty. - Must have three to five years database development experience that includes development in SQL standard technologies. - Extensive knowledge of SQL. - Experience developing in MSSQL 2005. - Must have Visual Basic, .Net, ASP programming experience. - Must have MS Access 2003 front end development experience. - Candidate should have knowledge of database development design methodology and reporting concepts, as well as writing and debugging PL/SQL triggers/stored procedures and UDFs. - Should also have good technical ability and solid reasoning skills. - Experience with Microsoft Access is required as well as experience in migrations. - Ability to translate between business requirements and technical implementation. - Should have strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interface with personnel at all levels of the organization. - Candidate must also be self-motivated. - Must be self-managed and able to meet deadlines. - Specialization in query management is also a plus. - MS GP Dynamic’s extender form development is a plus.
