Our Warrenton, Virginia client is seeking a Data Protection and Recovery Engineer to provides security, storage and systems management solutions to help our customers - from consumers and small businesses to the largest global organizations - secure and manage their information-driven world against more risks at more points, more completely and efficiently. Qualifications: * Active Directory and Exchange back-up and recovery knowledge * Back-up Exec 2010 and 2012 design / deployment experience * Back-up Exec 2010 and 2012 administrative experience * Back-up Exec 2010 and 2012 Best Practices experience * Disaster Recovery / Site Fail-over * Ability to present a professional appearance and demeanor * Ability to relate to a wide range of technical staff and managers in customer environments * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * 8-10 years of experience in systems engineering * Engineers with Symantec Technical Specialist (STS) and Authorized Symantec Consultant (ASC) Certification are preferred or the ability to obtain within the first week of hire Desired Experience: * MCSE / MCITP - Windows * Knowledge of other Microsoft technologies including SQL Server, IM, Microsoft Clustering, and SharePoint * NetBackup experience is a big plus * General Storage Area Network knowledge (NetApp, EMC, IBM, etc.) * Tape storage appliance experience (ADIC, HP, Dell, IBM, etc.) * Desktop-Laptop Option (DLO) experience as it pertains to Backup Exec
