Marketing and Operations Project Manager
My client, a leading online gaming organisation is looking for a Marketing and Operations Project Manager to join them immediately on an initial 3 month contract Role Summary A qualified Project Manager, with proven skills of working with development teams using Agile methodologies and with external vendors on application integration, is required to plan, coordinate track and report on a programme of commercial and operational projects. You will be passionate about delivery, an excellent communicator and you will be able to demonstrate pragmatism and good judgement in co-ordinating and guiding a number of teams, both technical and commercial, in successful delivery of business critical applications to tight deadlines. Key Responsibilities * Develop and maintain relationships and customer satisfaction with key stakeholders across the company: Marketing and Commercial Managers, Product Managers, Technical Managers, Finance Managers. * Plan and deliver executions that meet and excel against their briefs * Maintain a roadmap for deliverables and report against that plan * Work with application vendors and their teams to ensure both tight alignment with the team and successful implementation * Ensure that all relevant parts of the organisation (likely to include Technology, Marketing, Commercial and Product) are involved where appropriate and track and co-ordinate their deliverables and dependencies * Agree clear priorities and advise accordingly on trade-offs * Ensure that commercial analysis and associated business case are completed * Identify and address issues, managing escalation path where appropriate * Understand and complete as appropriate key Programme Central processes such as resource planning and management, project budgeting, cost tracking and post project performance tracking. * Provide on-going project reporting (Status, Risk and Issues) to the Head of Strategy and Planning for onward reporting to Senior Stakeholders. * Work closely with the all Technology teams throughout all phases of the project to ensure that both functional and non-functional requirements are understood and delivered by the required teams. * Develop and maintain knowledge of the business processes and products, using this knowledge to challenge, refine, focus and assist the Development and Product teams in guiding Programme direction. * To provide a central point of contact with 3rd party vendors as required during the project lifecycle Essential Skills & Experience * Commercially astute, with a track record in delivering projects on time and to budget, you'll be energetic, positive and be able to demonstrate drive, determination, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fluid organization. * Product implementation experience gained on delivery projects. Must be comfortable in a high pressure environment and have the ability to communicate well with senior stakeholders. * Excellent communication skills (written, oral, presentations). * Must have experience of managing projects through the end-end life; from concept to business benefits realisation. Must be able to clearly demonstrate business achievements to date. * Experience of tightly managing risks and issues * Understanding of commercial contracts and managing vendors within the bounds of that contract * Knowledge of Project Management methodologies and techniques * SCRUM practitioner with an understanding of agile delivery via distributed development teams. * Experienced & advanced user of Microsoft Office tools (particularly Excel & PowerPoint). * Experience of Microsoft Sharepoint 2010 desirable * Pro-active work ethic with the ability to deliver results and meet challenging deadlines. * Educated to degree level in a business, science or technology related field Desirable Skills & Experience * Enthusiasm to take on new tasks with flexibility and drive in working to meet deadlines * Experience within Business to Customer or Internet industries * Experience with customer centric industries, e-commerce or marketing sectors, particularly associated with campaign management, loyalty schemes, and promotional activity * Interest in the Sports or Gambling industry
