My client is a dynamic and successful IT Services and Consltancy organisation with a gloabl presence. They currenlty have an opportunity for a Technical Design Authority to join their team on a contract basis in London. The role will involve working as a Technical Design Authority to design the infrastructure solution needed to support the company's managed service capablity across Europe. You will be responsible for: Design and engineering of infrastructure/ tool-set to support the clients Managed Service Solutions, influencing technology, systems and operations stakeholders across the clients Programme Input to and support development of the technology roadmap for assigned the clients Managed Service Solutions Ad-hoc responsibility as Technical Design Authority for Managed Services customer deals, ensuring compliance with strategy and approved technologies Manage, create and maintain technical solution documentation oSystems Requirements oTechnical Solutions Descriptions oTest Plans and Evaluation Matrices oTechnology Research and White papers Lead and manage new solution developments oClose working with the Architecture and Solution Management team oProduce the Technical Solution Description (TSD) oProduce Technical Design oSupport Solution Development through the agreed Dev/ Ops model oEnsure technical readiness for Solution deployment/ Customer sign-off oDevelop new cost structure and levels ensuring ROI in conjunction with pricing team Lead and manage the standardisation if applicable of existing solution technology platforms across Europe and activities to simplify or streamline the portfolio Working as part of virtual teams across Europe The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and have: Experience of creating and deploying Service Oriented Architectures Experience of Business process flow management and automation, using technology to drive converged infrastructure and dynamic datacentre concepts through automation of vendor APIs Knowledge of creating/ developing/ modelling complex business process flows and developing associated automation of compute, storage, networking, applications, security, systems and other associated tools Experience of Orchestration and Automation architectures based on main stream vendors as well as Open-Source offerings Experience of developing robust process and orchestration capabilities across multiple environments such as service provider to customer as well as service provider to service provider Experience of managing complex cross domain (system, enterprise, firewall) processes and handling/ processing of exceptions Experience of XML technologies DTD, XSD, XSLT, RDF, RSS, Castor, SAX & JAXP Experience of web component development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, AJAX, Servlet, JSP and JSF Experience of JBPM, TIBCO Business Works, Oracle BPEL, Websphere Process Server, Apache Orchestration Director Hibernate, jBPM, Spring, Velocity, JasperReport and Struts Utilisation of Orchestration to provide centralised management of resource pool, including billing, metering, and chargeback for consumption in conjunction with tools such as JVisualvm, JConsole, Netbeans Profiler, JMeter, GC tuning Experience of UNIX and Linux operating systems as well as databases such as SQL, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL
