We are building a new Dance School Management online database (whoo hoo). We are trying to change the way dance gets organized by using online database systems that make things streamlined for all our dance users. We're looking for a new team member (yipee). Not just any coder to fulfill a task... a ROCK-STAR coder that is a right fit for our team culture :D Here is some insight that explains where we've come from and where we're going with all this (true story): We set out to develop a site that managed Dance Competition registration entries, scheduling, and event management at a time when we had virtually no coding experience (what were we thinking!!!!!!!!!!!). The project was obviously doomed to failure. Scheduling dances is actually quite complicated, and we soon realized we were WAY over our heads with all this (understatement of the year!!!). We ended up connecting with Dawn Berglund (from Elance) and she joined the team to develop (among other things) a new scheduling system for the client using jQuery. Dawn was hard working, fun to talk to via Skype, fun e-mails to read, and really went the extra mile when we were in a major time crunch PLUS she knits!!! (how cool is that?) Not enough stars on Elance for Dawn. She surpassed all our expectations and was promoted from coding rock-star to CODING NINJA because she saved our butts more than once and we ended up with very satisfied clients that ended up with the 'WOW' experience. Now we're switching gears by developing a new Dance School Management site! This is where you might come in to join the team. Very exciting stuff planned for this. The users will use the site to handle all basic Dance School Management functions such as registration, communications, recital planning, fees, etc. This is going to be the cornerstone flagship site that will help us reach our ultimate goal: we want to change the way dance is organized using online database systems. As of right now I have a four page document describing in detail how the new Dance School Management site will work (too long I know :), and a sitemap and wireframe is in the process of development. Final 15 minute interview IF you make it past step three, then you will be offered $50 contract signing bonus if you join the team or $75 if you choose to not join the team.
