PMO Six Sigma/Project Manager
Galen Technology Solutions is looking for PMO Six Sigma/Project Manager for our direct client located in Weehawken, NJ. This exciting opportunity will afford the successful candidate to lead and manage transformational initiatives such as platform architecture, data architecture, and/or workflow based applications. Skills include: 8+ years of IT Project Management experience in a financial services organization 5+ years experience managing large scale IT Change Projects 5+ years experience managing complex projects Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Extensive leadership, strategic and execution level experience combined with a strong record of delivering results and impact Strong negotiating, influencing and change management skills Excellent communication and presentation skills PMI Certification Six Sigma Certification Must have financial industry experience Specific Responsibilities: Managing overall plan, quality, delivery and costs of assigned projects within an application or infrastructure area. Communicating status to the business sponsor of the project Creating and managing detailed project plans, will track to milestones, will resolve issues and escalate as needed. Driving projects to successful completion on time and on budget. Responsible for all levels of project status Bringing extensive experience of leading complex, business change initiatives, the project manager will: Manage large, complex projects that cut across many lines of organization. Build relationships with key stakeholders in Business and IT. Drive through issues, break-down barriers, band build teams to deliver excellence in Program Execution. Challenge the status quo, and be able to make difficult and sometimes controversial decisions if that is where the “Program Status” takes us.
