Microsoft Systems Engineer
Our direct client is in need of a Microsoft Systems Engineer for a global Windows XP to Windows 7 migration, It is essential that the candidate have at least 5 years of Desktop/Systems management experience in an enterprise Microsoft environment, 2-3 years of Microsoft Active Directory (AD) experience, and familiarity with HP, Lenovo, and Dell desktop and laptop hardware. A standard 40 hour work week is expected with some weekend work likley. In addition, some travel may be required so a passport may be needed. The following is a summary of the skills required and the duties that the candidate will be expected to perform: • Essential Duties Research, analyze, and make recommendations to upgrade Windows XP systems Plan and design SCCM environment based on site needs Analyze system performance after before and after upgrades Serve as an interface to the project team/site team to troubleshoot and identify any system performance issues Ensure that all appropriate documentation is created or updated as needed Build systems to Jabil baseline standards Deploy fixes/patches to systems utilizing SCCM in response to newly identified stability or security threats Provide reporting on OS, application and hardware information • Required Skills Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows XP and Windows 7 products Extensive experience with Active Directory and GPOs (2008 a plus) Extensive experience with administering Microsoft SCCM Extensive knowledge of desktop and laptop technologies as well as various vendor platforms MCSE Certification or equivalent
