Network Engineer Irving, TX Job Description: Job title: Tier II Network Operations Lead Location: Irving, TX Tier II Network Operations Analyst: Description: The CTI Global Network Operations (GNO) team provides 24 by 7 network support via the Global Network Control Center (GNCC). The GNCC is a dual hemisphere support model with one command center based out of Irving, Texas and the other out of Singapore. Each center provides real-time backup for the other enabling efficient transfer of operations in the event of an emergency. The GNCC supports over 45,000 Cisco devices and 35,000 data circuits across 103 countries. The GNCC is the single point of contact for all network related issues and provides end to end support for the Global Client network which includes services such as incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management, availability management, risk & control and many more. The GNCC is currently looking for a Specialist II to perform the following: • Provide Level 2 LAN/WAN support primarily focused on ‘break/fix’ support of Cisco internetworking technology solutions • Perform hands on problem determination • Manage ‘break/fix’ vendor/carrier problems. • Troubleshoot and configure Cisco IOS or Catalyst switches and Routers. • Develop and maintain relationships with the global Client teams/businesses and external vendors. • Develop and track solutions to existing issues. • Ability to influence and improve Banking's Network Operations practices and technologies. Qualifications: • Strong working knowledge of Cisco routers and switches • Strong working knowledge of WANS (MPLS T1's, T3's, Frame relay, , etc) • Strong working knowledge of at least three of the following routing protocols; EIGRP , IGRP, BGP, OSPF, RIP • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus • Cisco Professional Certification preferred but not required (CCNP, CCVP, etc) • Knowledge of other internetworking technologies preferred but not required: Load Balancing (Citrix and F5); Juniper; Riverbed WAN accelerators • ITIL knowledge preferred. Tier II Network Operations Lead: The Operations Lead should fit all the specifications for ‘Tier II Network Support Analyst’ and the following criteria: 1. 3+ years of supervision/leadership in a network operations or other enterprise technology support environment is absolutely required 2. Highly assertive/aggressive communicator 3. Commanding personality and strong ‘floor presence’ 4. Very strong desire/ambition for a managerial career path 5. Executive communications & crisis management experience We are looking for the type of person who always thinks “I should be running this place.” We are looking for a highly assertive and aggressive take-charge personality, someone who can be in charge of our NOC simply through their natural presence. We are looking for someone who has innate leadership capabilities and does not hesitate to provide input, direction, correction, etc under high pressure situations. We need someone who can field a phone call from a Managing Director/Executive Leader and provide a proper executive update every time without hesitation or nervousness. Within 6 months of hire, this person is expected to be able to: • Provide leadership to a team of 8-15 network operations personnel. • Function as the Shift of NA-GNCC Level-/Level-2 Operations during the absence of the shift managers. • Assist in escalations and senior/executive management communications during high severity incidents • Ensure compliance with GNO standard procedures amongst all staff members under the Lead’s supervision If you are interested in this profile then kindly click the below link to apply for this position.
